Our Sisters in Action

In order to help our national philanthropy, the sisters of Alpha Sigma tau hold many different events on campus. Including our Rock-a-thon! Rock-a-thon is our yearly rock concert where local bands and groups from Seton Hall join the sisters in an exciting fundraising event. Alpha Sigma Tau also holds a yearly events for Dress for Success in which a clothing drive is run as well as a penny wars for the Greek community! Each Greek organization decorates a high heel to symbolize Dress for Success opening the door for the success of all women! This past year Alpha Sigma Tau raised over $2,000 for Girls who Code. The sisters also host a PB&J competition annually in which all Greek organizations on campus compete to make the most sandwiches to give to a local food bank.

Serra House

Along with supporting Alpha Sigma Tau's national philanthropy, the Gamma Rho Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau partners with the Sierra House. The Sierra House is located in East Orange, NJ and houses women and their children. The sisters of Gamma Rho felt this organization aligned so well with Alpha Sigma Tau's core values that they chose it as their chapter philanthropy. Gamma Rho runs many events with the Serra House such as blanket making, fundraising events, encouragement jar notes, Christmas tree lighting and more!
